NMSBVI Pre-ETS Presents...
American Heart Association
CPR and First Aid Classes
Be prepared for emergencies!
Are you preparing for independence after high school? You’ve probably thought about living on your own, going to college, and getting a job…But have you thought about what you would do in the event of an accident or a medical emergency? That is not something we like to think about, but it is critical to learn how to help ourselves and those around us if we are ever faced with an emergency situation. NMSBVI Pre-ETS (Pre-Employment Transition Services), in collaboration with the NM Commission for the Blind, will offer CPR and First Aid certification classes for New Mexico students who are blind or visually impaired and between the ages of 14-21. These classes will be taught by an American Heart Association (AHA) instructor and will result in students earning an AHA HeartSaver CPR, AED and First Aid certificate. Class size is limited to 8 students per class. We will offer one class in the northern part of the state and another class in the southern part of the state:
Alamogordo on September 23, 2023
Class will take place on NMSBVI Main Campus, Ditzler Auditorium, 8:30am-4:30pm.
Albuquerque on September 9, 2023
